“You’re So Lucky, Bro.”

“You’re so lucky, bro.”

I get that message all the time.

People see the photos. The beach, the sun, beautiful girls in bikinis… or no bikinis. And the conclusion is always the same.

Luck.

And I get it. From the outside, it does look like that. But what people don’t see is everything that came before it.

They don’t see the decisions. Leaving everything behind. Moving to a place with better light, better weather, better opportunities. That wasn’t luck. That was a choice.

Nobody forced me to do it. Nobody guaranteed it would work. I just decided that I didn’t want to live the life I had anymore… and I slowly started moving toward something else. Step by step.

And the same thing applies to photography.

People say there are no good models where they live. That there’s no beach, no good weather, no inspiring environment. And maybe that’s true. But what are you doing about it?

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth. It’s not your fault where you were born or what your situation looks like right now. But it is your responsibility what you do with it.

And most people don’t like that sentence, because it removes the excuse.

When I started, I didn’t have this life either. I sent hundreds of messages to models, and most of them didn’t reply. And honestly… why would they? They didn’t know me. My work wasn’t great yet. There was no reason for them to say yes.

So I focused on the ones who did reply. I worked with them, improved, and slowly built something. And over time, things started shifting. Not because the world suddenly became fair, but because I got better.

That’s the part people don’t want to hear.

You can stay where you are and complain, or you can start adjusting your life. You can travel, practice, and put yourself in better environments. You can slowly move toward the life you’ve been thinking about, step by step.

That’s exactly what I did.

This didn’t happen overnight. It wasn’t one big lucky moment. It was a series of decisions. Some uncomfortable, some uncertain, but all of them mine.

So yeah… you can keep calling other people lucky.

Or you can start taking responsibility and see what happens when you do.
