She Forgot the Bra and Then… The Atlantic Tried to Kill Us. 😯🌊

“I think I forgot the bra.”

She said it casually, like she was commenting on the weather. Standing there on the black volcanic rocks of Fasnia, Atlantic waves crashing so loudly we had to raise our voices just to hear each other, Dani looked at me with that expression that was half innocent, half knowing. The kind of look that makes you wonder if something was forgotten by accident… or if it was never meant to be there in the first place.

We had already started shooting close to the rock wall, Dani leaning against the dark stone, the ocean breathing behind her. The location was unreal. Wild, raw, beautiful in that way Tenerife does so effortlessly. At some point I stepped back, instinctively, wanting more of the scene in the frame. More sea. More chaos. That’s when I realised we might have gone a little too far.

The waves started reaching us.

At first it was playful. A splash here. A wet foot there. Dani laughed, didn’t hesitate for a second. No fear, no second guessing. Then a bigger wave came in. And another. She was getting soaked. Then I was getting soaked. Cold Atlantic water against warm skin, Spanish sun overhead, my heart rate climbing fast.

“Okay,” I shouted, camera held out in front of me, “we shoot fast.”

The Atlantic is nothing like the Mediterranean. The Mediterranean is loyal. Predictable. Calm. The Atlantic feels like a beautiful, unpredictable one-night stand. Exciting. Dangerous. You never fully know what’s coming next. And that was exactly the energy of that moment. Loud waves, slippery rocks, adrenaline pumping. I wasn’t thinking about sensuality. I wasn’t thinking about nudity. I was thinking about timing, framing, not getting knocked into the sea, and trusting that this chaos would turn into something special.

And it did.

Dani didn’t flinch. She stood there, topless, white lingerie bottoms clinging to her skin, water running down her body, completely present. The fact that she had “forgotten” the bra suddenly felt irrelevant. This wasn’t about being sexy. It was about being in it. About creating something real in a place that demanded respect.

When we finally stepped away from the rocks, soaked and laughing, it hit us at the same time. That rush. That relief.
These are going to be good.

Back at the car, still buzzing with adrenaline, hunger suddenly became the loudest voice in the room. Apparently battling Atlantic waves while photographing a topless Latina on volcanic rocks burns more calories than anyone warns you about. We agreed breakfast wasn’t optional. It was survival.

Looking back now, those photos don’t remind me of danger. They remind me of freedom. Of saying yes to the moment. Of trusting instinct over comfort. And of the simple truth that some of the best images happen right before you realise you’re starving and grinning like an idiot.

This crazy moment on the rocks was just one small part of a much bigger story. One scene from a four-day Tenerife trip with three different models, countless locations, a villa with a beautiful swimming pool, and long days spent chasing light, energy, and those moments you never plan but always hope for.

Everything from that trip lives on Patreon. That’s where I share it all, the full stories, my thoughts, the photos in HD, and the complete behind-the-scenes footage, with the people who choose to be part of that inner circle. Every shoot. Every shift in mood. Every little moment in between.

To all the heroes who are already there supporting me, my work, and these stories, thank you so much. You make it possible for me to keep doing this exactly the way I want to.

And of course, a huge thank you to Dani. She’s an absolute pro, incredibly natural in front of the camera, calm even when things get intense, and just a genuinely good person. Kind, grounded, and a joy to spend a day creating with. That matters more than people realise.

Forever yours,

Arnold ✌🏼

P.S. If you can’t or don’t want to join me and the crew on Patreon, no worries. A comment, a share, or a quick “hey” already puts a big smile on my face as well! 🥰

P.P.S. Most photographers know how to use a camera. Very few know how to turn it into a passport for a more exciting life. If you’re ready to change that and want to create work that actually makes you feel alive, have a look at my coaching page. It might be exactly what you didn’t know you were missing.
